Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, Domaine De La Cotteleraie 2020

Introduction

One of the top three important red wine appellations in the Touraine district of the Loire, Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil produces reds that are characterized by their crisp, refreshing acidity and prominent spiced-fruit flavors. The appellation of ‘Wine estate’ from Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil covers an area of 950 hectares on a gravelly terrace and clay-limestone slopes. The “Domaine” cuvée is produced from the different vineyards of the property, and is the most popular series of the house. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, the domaine’s Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil is a great classic of the region’s free-draining gravelly soil and mild Maritime climate: red fruits, floral aromas, tender tannins, length in the mouth.
