Grignan Les Adhémar, Mas de Merlère Serre des Vignes 2019

Introduction

The Domaine du Serre des Vignes was certified in Organic Agriculture in 2011 and at the same time saw its name change from AOC Tricastin to Grignan les Adhémar. Located in the middle of the Rhone Valley, the vines are planted on very stony clay-limestone soils on a marly subsoil and benefit from a Mediterranean climate with a mountain influence.

Blending the star grape of northern Rhone- Syrah and the leading grape of the southern Rhone- Grenache, the nose is complex with notes of pepper and cherry, and the finishing reveals notes of liquorice.

summary

A well-balanced wine that captures the refined attributes of both northern and southern Rhone Valley, Grignan Les Adhémar complements Lamb & Gratin Dauphinois and Wagyu Beef Ribeye, or simply the Cheese Platter. This perfect partnership tantalizes your taste buds as the peppery-fruity notes of Grignan Les Adhémar brings out the best of the sweet fat in the meat and cheese
