Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits 2019, Laurent Roumier

Introduction

Domaine Laurent Roumier is located in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny, in Burgundy. The origins of the estate are linked to those of Domaine Georges Roumier, founded in 1924 by Laurent Roumier’s grandfather. From a parcel of vines planted in limestone that existed from the Jurassic era, the Pinot Noir in Hautes Côtes de Nuits is at its height in expressing perfumery fruity notes with added complexity notes that resulted from old oak barrel ageing.

summary

A rare Pinot Noir with tight woven flavors that expresses tenacity and strength, Laurent Roumier’s Hautes Côtes de Nuits is versatile with both white and red meats. Pairing well with Fricassée De Poulet, it also complements strong red meats like HENRI’s chargrilled Australian Black Angus Striploin.
